A Test, and a New Kitty

Contrary to what the 'WIP'n Progress' shows, I have been productive this week. Really, honestly. ;) Wrote two synopses and am briefly back to working on Bound Forever. Even though I dread writing a synopsis, doing one for the book helped me to figure out a connecting scene I was struggling with. So that's good. And if all goes well today, I should be back to working on His Client by tomorrow. Oh, and I have news. *G* I'll share it next week, after I dot some i's and cross some t's.

Ever wonder what your ideal career should be? Well wonder no more. Simply take the Dewey Color System Test. It claims to be scientifically valid and very accurate. For me, it was scary accurate. It gives 5 career options based on your answer, and in those 5 options, it had my 2 current careers. I was sufficiently amazed. All you do is first pick your favorite color from yellow, blue and red. Then pick your fav from purple, green and orange. And viola! I'm blue-green = 'writer' and 'department manager'. It also listed accountant (and I love numbers like you wouldn't believe). So yeah, scary accurate. LOL

I saw a commercial for a new piece of exercise equipment and my first thought was...rather pervie. I bet over 1/2 the people who buy the Ab Circle use it for more than just excersing.

I came home from work Monday to a new addition to the family. Hubby got the kidlet a kitty. Her name's Georgette (the ladies at the rescue shelter named her) and she's cute as can be. She also has the added bonus of loving the kidlet's brand of over-affection. Kidlet played with her in the Barbie Cruise Ship last night and kitten just went along with it. Georgette also likes the kidlet's goldfishes.
The goldfish, however, don't appear too thrilled with the new addition to the family. Goldie #1 looks distinctly worried.
It's a holiday weekend here in the U.S. Anyone have any fun plans? Me, I'll be hanging at home with the hubby and kidlet, and writing. Yeah...I'm the height of excitement. And now, I'm ducking back into the writing cave. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

  1. Oh, Georgie is CUTE! Black kitties are very busy, Goldie #1. You SHOULD be worried.

Well, darn it, the most interesting results (1-25) from that color test are only available for a fee! :(

    Have a great holiday weekend!

  2. Luckily the goldfish tank has a lid, though Georgette is a busy girl. I wouldn't put it past her to figure out how to open the tank.

I didn't even click that far into the article, but now I see what you're referring to. My #26 was 'Truck Driver - Heavy or Tractor-Trailer'. LOL. Somehow I can't see myself behind the wheel of a big rig, though I'd have lots of time to plot new books as I drove across the country. Some maybe it's a career I should consider. ;)

  3. I think my number 28 was retail sales. Um, yeah, I'm an INTJ and SO strongly an "I" that I'd probably be in a fetal ball under behind a display by the end of the first day...

  4. LMAO! I'd be there with you. Sales, especially retail, is so not my thing.

  6. Aww, Georgette is adorable. Sounds kitty and kidley will be best friends.

Good luck with the writing and thanks for the lovely picture!

  7. Congrats on the new family member!

Teacher was #36 for me on the color test. #49 was writer. #26 was policeman/patrol officer.

  8. Thanks, Lily! And I'm glad you liked the pic ;)

Oh, Eyre, maybe you should consider a job in law enforement? :) Though the uniforms...they can look hot on guys but female cops never seem to look all that great in them.

  9. Ava, I would/could never have a job that required me to wear a uniform with a tucked in shirt! Trust me, that is not a good look for me.

  10. Yeah, I can't do the tucked-in shirt thing either. It's just not an attractive look on most women. And with police work, you have to wear that batman utility belt, which just accentuates the whole tucked in shirt issue. lol

  11. I'm with you ladies. Untucked is the way to go.

  14. OMG! You let him get the kitty, after all. You big softy! I don't blame you, though. It is a cutie.

  15. Hey Stephani! Yes, I'm obviously a big push over. LOL. Helps that hubby's a cutie, too - I have a hard time saying no to him. ;)

  16. LMAO! OMG, that pic of the fish is classic. The kitty is adorable, btw.

  17. Barbara - LOL. I kind of feel sorry for the goldfish. They do look really worried whenever the kitty comes around, and kitty is very interested in the fish. But at least the kitty hasn't tried to open the tank's lid yet. So the fish are safe...for now. ;)
