His Client

His Client, my current work in progress, has a home! *g* It's a m/m Regency-set erotic romance with some light D/s elements and some role playing, and it will be my longest Ava book to date. Should come in at short novel length. It will be published by Loose Id, release date TBD as I have yet to finish the book. Close to being done though, and I'm on track to meet my deadline of next week.

I was darn productive over the holiday weekend. Finished chapter 3 of Bound Forever, finished chapter 8 in His Client and got a good start on 9, made a 'coming soon' image for the blog, wrote long and short blurbs for the book, and did the cover art request form. *pats self on back* And since I've written the blurb, I'll share it with you. It's not the final-final one, but it's the one I'll turn in.

Mr. Jasper Reed has been working at Madame Delacroix’s for a decade. He’s saved enough to retire, yet he remains at the decadent London brothel. Retiring would mean leaving Nate and the hope perhaps someday the rugged gentleman would stop pining for his best friend and realize he loves Jasper, just as Jasper loves him.

Mr. Nathaniel Travers has been visiting the brothel for five years. On every visit, he requests the same man. Stunningly handsome and highly skilled, Jasper not only shares Nate’s fondness for wickedly erotic games and black leather corsets, but he has become a friend. Someone he can talk to. Someone he can share a supper with. And Jasper’s the only person who knows Nate secretly harbors a love for his old childhood friend, Peter Edmonton.

It takes Edmonton’s marriage for Jasper to realize he’s been just as blind as Nate. Stubbornly hoping for something that cannot be. Convinced a gentleman like Nate can never be more than his client, Jasper retires.

Life in the country may be lonely, but with no one to please but himself, it’s calm and peaceful…until Nate shows up on his doorstep.

I'll leave you with another cookie that provided some inspiration for His Client. There are no red skirts in the book, but it's the feel of the pic. A hard male body contrasted with soft, gauzy fabric. Oh, and thanks to Eyre for the cookie at the top of the post. I liked it so much, and thought it fit Jasper and Nate, that I snagged it from her blog a while back ;)

  1. Yay for His Client's new home!

The blurbs are fabulous. I can't wait for another Ava book to read.

That first pic is one of my favorites.

  2. Mmms, totally masculine under the fluff. Enjoying the V-cut but have a mental flash of someone flipping the skirt up .

CONGRATS girlie on landing a home for your baby and on your productivity this weekend! Great blurb. :)

They are lucky to have you there...

I love the top pic - I could do a few things in a few hours with that guy myself - everyday...

  6. Congratulations of course. But I already new about it.

Um, you think those dudes at the top look like Jasper and Nate? Really? Not the way I pictured them at all.

That second pic scares me just a little. I'm so vanilla. HA!

  8. Eyre - I love that top pic, too :D It's just so damn sexy.

Devon - And what's under the skirt that can be the most fun ;)

    E.H. - Thanks!
keep pinging away at it - you'll get there
That's what I keep telling myself. After working on it for months, the end is finally in sight, and that's very encouraging. :)

  9. Thanks, Mandi and Chris!!

Shawn - I don't think the dudes in the top pic look like Jasper and Nate. Though the one is muscular enough to be Nate. It's more the feel of the pic - that tangible, crackling sexual attraction with a hint of aggression. And the pose, too. ;)

  10. Thanks, FV! So skirt-guy scares you a little? LOL. I'm picky about kinky cookies, but this one...love how the model has enough blatant masculinity to pull off the pic. I mean really - a guy has to be confident to pull off a fluffy red skirt with black leather. :)

    Thanks, Lissa!!
