Finally

I did it! That chick up in the menu bar - the Evangeline one who writes books with heroes and heroines - she finished a single-title tonight. First time ever under a deadline. :D As Ava, I've written novellas under a deadline (two in fact - Bound to Him and Convincing Arthur), but this is a first for Evangeline. Yep, I'm feeling like A Champion tonight. *g*

Next up, I'll start on a new m/m novella. Oliver and Vincent are still bugging me the most, so it looks like their final book, tentatively titled Bound Forever, will be up next.

First though, I'm going to take a couple weeks off. Just be lazy, read some books, play around on the internet (oh - how I have missed you, internet!), and clean the house. It's gotten a bit...yuck...around here lately, due to the fact that I haven't been doing much beside writing of late. My laptop and I have become very good friends. LOL

I hope everyone has a fabulous and safe New Year's Eve!

Blatant Man-Candy

I've got absolutely no news. So instead of babbling on about...whatever...I decided to limit this post to hotties. I've been mulling over Oliver and Vincent's next book, hence the theme for today's hotties. Yep, I admit it, my mind's been totally in the gutter, and it's so much fun there. So consider today's post my little invite to come join me in the gutter. ;)

Random Saturday News

A few days ago I mentioned how Convincing Arthur got a lovely review from Whipped Cream Erotic Romance Reviews. Well, I got an email from them yesterday. Arthur and Leopold are up for Best Book of the Week. So if you feel so inclined, pop on over and check out the list of books - Best Book of the Week. Voting is open Saturday and Sunday.

In other news, Samhain is holding a holiday scavenger hunt. They are giving away a couple of ereaders for the grand prizes, along with tons of free books. I'm not one of the participating authors, but since they are one of my pubs and I have author friends who are participating, I figured I'd give the contest a shout-out. If you want a chance to win some awesome prizes, then check it out.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend! The sun decided to actually make an appearance today and it's not 13 degrees here, which is pretty darn good for December in the Midwest.

Next Book and Other Random Stuff

It snowed here last night. Snowed!! Yes, the white cold stuff. sigh. I'm so not ready for winter. I'd much rather be on the beach with today's hottie.

If you haven't seen me around the web or on Goodreads much, it's because I'm busily finishing up a ms. It's closing in on January, and I've been giving some serious thought to the next Ava book. Wanna know who has been bugging me the most lately? *g* Oliver and Vincent. :) Come mid-January, I'm planning to start work on the last book in the Bound series, tentatively titled Bound Forever.

In other random news, Convincing Arthur got a lovely review the other day from Whipped Cream Erotic Romance Reviews. 5 Cherries. Made me so proud of Arthur and Leopold. I don't usually pimp out reviews on the blog, but the men have been receiving some very nice ones lately, so I thought I'd share one. Now if you're in the mood to read a bunch of review quotes, pop on over to my website. Otherwise, well...I try to spare you all the blatant squeeing over reviews. :D

Speak Its Name, the historical gay fiction review site, is hosting an Advent Calendar. -
"The Blog is Two Years Old and to celebrate–and to thank all you lovely readers for your loyalty–we have, for your delectation, lined up a fabulous feast of amazing authors – one each day from 1st to 24th December – who will be blogging about a subject of their choosing, and a present will be given out each day."
Yes, I'm one of the above mentioned 'amazing authors' *g* and I'm doing a post and a giveaway as part of the calendar. However, the authors aren't supposed to tell which day their posts are going up. So, if you're in the mood for some holiday fun and a chance to win some prizes, hop on over. ...and no, my post is not going up today. That would just be too obvious. LOL.

Guest Blogging Today

I'm guest blogging over at Oh Get A Grip! today. The week's topic is 'Don't be scared; it's just a genre', and part of the topic includes writing a short piece in a genre you're not all that comfortable with. If you have time, stop on by and see which genre I picked. And thanks to Devon Rhodes for the invite to guest post!

In other blogland news, Shawn Lane is running a couple of contests on her blog for her upcoming releases - The Best Gift and Ticket to Ride. Both are wonderful books (something I can say with certainty since I'm her crit partner and get to read all her stuff before anyone else *g*), and they are well worth throwing your name in the hat for a chance to win.

So...did you notice anything different today? The blog got a shiny new makeover, courtesy of Barbara! *squee* Yeah, I've been gawking at it since it went up last night. So pretty!!
